What you need to know!

Transportation

If you plan to fly, Miami International Airport and Ft. Lauderdale International Airport are closest to the wedding venue. The Palms Hotel does not provide shuttle service to and from the airport, but both Uber and Lyft are active in the area. If you plan to drive, The Palms Hotel has valet parking.

Wedding Events

All of the wedding events will be held at various locations at the Palms Hotel and Spa. While the Sangeet (a singing, dancing, and musical fest) and Wedding Ceremony will be held in outdoor spaces, the Wedding Reception will be held in-doors. There will be light food and refreshments available throughout the outdoor wedding ceremony beginning with the Baraat (groom’s arrival) at 12:30 PM and ending with the Ashirvad (blessing) at approximately 2:30 PM.

Event Attire

For the outdoor events, the attire is beach formal, so everyone can stay cool while looking great! While many guests will wear traditional Indian garb and even change outfits in between the events, it’s not necessary! Two colors to avoid specifically for the wedding ceremony would be white (associated with funerals in South Asia) and black (viewed as inauspicious for Hindu ceremonies). However, just about every other color of the rainbow is fully acceptable for guests! Bring on the bling and color!
